This is a delightful reverse-heist movie from Taiwan, available on US Netflix!
Things I love about it: The competence, the humor, the heist-y tropes, the found-family vibes
Either or both of these characters would be delightful, and happy to see them interacting with any of the rest of the cast!
Some ideas if they are helpful:
- Slice-of-life! Heists! Slice-of-heist! Either before, during or after the events of the movie.
- How does Wen Hao adjust to Chang Po-Chun and Shen Shu-Wen's relationship? Everybody does have two hands! Or perhaps a new boyfriend for Wen Hao?
- How do things work out with Kao and Ann from the bank? How does the rest of the crew help or interfere?

Fandom: 两不疑 | Liǎng Bù Yí | No Doubt In Us (Cartoon)
Characters: Xiao Jinming, Luo Hanying, Huna, Xu Jun

This is an adorable palace drama donghua, with across the board great characters, a really amazing range from humor to serious topics, available on US Netflix
Things I love about it: I love all the characters, everyone is so good at their jobs, the comedy
Any of these characters would be delightful, and happy to see them interacting with any of the rest of the cast!
Some ideas if they are helpful:
- Xiao Jinming & Luo Hanying: These two make a great team, especially with Jinming's tendency to flip between playboy prince and effective investigator. It would be fun to see more undercover games and/or magic! Also, perhaps: Boyfriends?
- Huna: the real MVP! What is it like for her as she re-establishes control in her kingdom? Does she keep up correspondence with Xu Yu and/or Xiao Jinyun? DOES SHE MEET THE BABY???
- Xu Jun: Speaking of the baby, what kind of uncle will dage be? Chill and level-headed or teaching military tactics immediately? Or both! Also: If Huna still needs a husband, dage is RIGHT HERE, I'm just saying.

Fandom: 且试天下 | Who Rules The World (TV)
Characters: Any from the tagset (i.e. Feng Chang, Feng Qiwu, Hua Chunran, Huang Chao, Xiao Xuekong, Zhong Li)

Jianghu x Palace drama with a main pairing of wife guy prince x chaotic bisexual heroine and a deLIGHTful extended cast. (Thank you very much to the person who added the extra characters I was hoping for to the tagset during the nominations!)
Things I love about it: All of the characters, the competence everywhere (when people DO do stupid things it makes sense for them!), the mix of jianghu and palace drama
Any of these characters in any combination and/or interacting with the rest of the cast would be great!
Some ideas if they are helpful:
- Feng Chang: omg dage deserves to have a nice day! (potentially featuring Feng Qiwu who could still be in the market for a husband and/or my precious murder kitten Zhong Li who may still be running the spy ring and keeping an eye on dage now that his boss has retired)
- Feng Qiwu: How does she like running the country? Does she work with Feng Chang and/or Zhong Li on it? Does she have to deal with Huang Chao and/or Hua Chunran in the aftermath of the political upheaval?
- Zhong Li: What is my precious murder kitten up to? Jaunting around the jianghu? Commiserating with Xiau Xuekong?
- Hua Chunran & Huang Chao: They got what they wanted but do they want it anymore? Also: The idea of their marriage fascinates me! Like: do they come to be reluctant allies? Who is poisoning who today (affectionate)? Do they seem at each others' throats while watching each others' backs?
- Xiao Xuekong: The good and loyal general! What does he think about how things worked out?

The Bone Key - Sarah Monette
Kyle Murchison Booth, John Pelham Ratcliffe

What I love about this & some possible prompt-y thoughts:

The atmosphere & general vibe! The creeping dread! The genteel horror! The psychological wretchedness! I like that the horror of these stories is the sort that creeps up on you, a little, and yet is deeply, deeply horrifying mentally in a way that sticks with you.
How Booth is in fact quite competent even though he doesn't see himself that way. And that he tries to do the right thing, even if he is deeply uncomfortable and/or terrified of doing so.
Also that Booth is so dreadfully empathic. Poor guy!
How Ratcliffe is open-minded about the supernatural, but in a way that makes sense for his pragmatic character--people he trusts have had experiences that he believes. That he is a solution-focused, action-oriented guy. That he's self-aware!
It could be cool to get a Ratcliffe POV on the events of Drowning Palmer, or maybe remix/return to the setting of The Wall of Clouds but add Ratcliffe? Or new casefic! Maybe Ratcliffe's painter friend or his friend who dreams of Troy needs Booth's help?

成化十四年 | The Sleuth of the Ming Dynasty (TV)
Tang Fan, Sui Zhou

What I love about this & some possible prompt-y thoughts:

This is the trope-iest show, and I love me some tropes. Just, every time you are like, "Man, I'd love if they do this trope-y thing, but that would be too awesomely trope-y." they just lean into it! I love that!
Both Sui Zhou and Tang Fan are character types that I love, and their relationship dynamic is delightful. The warm grumpy one is soft for the bratty sunshine one!
Sui Zhou's terrible sense of self worth/survivor's guilt and how that intersects with his willingness to sacrifice himself for the people he loves. I mean, it's really unhealthy for HIM, but I am HERE for it.
How Tang Fan is bratty and sort of ditzy but still SUPER smart and competent in his areas of expertise. I like that even though he's the frivolous soft one, he still has demonstrable areas of strength.
How much Tang Fan admires Sui Zhou, and talks him up to other people.
How Sui Zhou indulges Tang Fan and gets there's more going on under the surface with him.
Doesn't necessarily have to be a super shippy fic, although I would love it--casefic or slice-of-life would also be really fun! Cooking lessons (and disasters!) or the day the goat ran away and Dong'er insisted they rescue it!
The entire ensemble is great, of course, and Wang Zhi is the best, again of course, but I have particular soft spots for Jia Kui and Jin San, if you are looking for a random ensemble member for something.

The Tick (TV 2017)
Onward | Midnight, Lobstercules

First off, you don't need to write both of these characters, although that would be cool--I would be happy with either!

What I love about this & some possible prompt-y thoughts:

The zany warm-hearted vibe! The show does such a fun job balancing absurdity with heart, and I hope that would a fun tone for you to write!
The entire ensemble cast is delightful, top-to-bottom.
Midnight's whole I've-experienced-more-post-traumatic-growth-than-you schtick! Even though it's authentic, and he's a veteran hero (*cough*mascot*cough*) and all around good dog, he's still a bit of a dick (especially to Overkill). Maybe something about consulting for AEGIS? Or a day-in-the-life? Getting stuck having to work with Overkill
Lobstercules! Just as a concept, and her whole story arc! What are her thoughts on being a working mom in a male-dominated industry (perhaps with Ms. Lint)?

I hope that you have fun with whatever you create! i put some notes in the request (which I'll paste below), but in general I just want to see the requested ships interacting and for you to have fun writing about them. :)

Looking things over I realize that I tended to frame my details in canon-era or canon-fix terms, but I also enjoy a modern or other sort of AU if that strikes your fancy! Other things I enjoy include pining, h/c, protectiveness, and banter! Tropes are fun, casefic is fun, so are character studies! If you wanna write a pwp, that is also delightful!

I love JYL/JZX once they get together and I feel like if they'd managed to connect with JGY things would have turned out differently! Let them adopt him! Maybe in bed! I think it's really interesting to consider how LJY would react after all of the canon events--he seems the type to be persistent about figuring things out! And I think that he would be curious about NHS, and wouldn't be persuaded to just leave NHS alone! He seems like even if he doesn't agree with everything NHS did, he would get why, and would be accepting. Maybe he winds up some kind of Lan ambassador in Qinghe, maybe he's got Nie in his family tree. NHS has been alone for so long, and trying to control stuff for so long--give him bs-immune, chaos-gremlin LJY forcing his way in. NHS may even think he's the one in control, but oh no, he caught feelings!
